This hanging was handwoven on a floor loom using the famous Lin-Manuel Miranda Quote from his Tony acceptance speech: ‘Love is love is love is love is love is love…’

The process of translating text into the weaving is something I have created by assigning threads to letters. Each horizontal line of yarn in the weaving is one translated letter- lines are woven consecutively to spell out the chosen text, and thus creates unique patterns based on the chosen words. When the piece is finished, the text is spelled out letter by letter (line of yarn by line of yarn) from the top of the piece to the bottom.

This item was created in a smoke and pet-free home.
